In 2020, America entered a period of profound upheaval through three defining and unexpected moments: the Covid-19 pandemic, the killing of George Floyd, and the fierce rise of the Black Lives Matter movement. My imagery became a way to process and respond to this collective trauma. Creating was what I could hold onto as it felt like America was in freefall.
